Sam Guedouar, Executive Director
Sam Guedouar joined The Amsterdam at Harborside as the community's new executive director in May 2012. Guedouar brings over 15 years of extensive high-end hospitality management experience to the retirement community, including serving as area managing director at The Hilton Hotels and Resorts in New Jersey, and The Westin in Providence, RI. He is Six Sigma-certified, a member of the CCRC Cabinet of Leading Age, and is fluent in French. He received a bachelor's degree in hotel, restaurant and tourism management, and studied intensively at Ecole Supérieure de Tourisme in Paris, France.
Amy Giangregorio, Director of Finance
Amy Giangregorio joined The Amsterdam at Harborside in May 2012. She holds a master's degree in accounting and has been working in health care finance since 1994. Amy has held positions in hospitals and other not-for-profit businesses throughout Long Island during her career. She's excited to bring her knowledge of health care finance to The Amsterdam. Amy hopes to bridge the life care community's different levels of care, encompassing independent living, enriched housing, memory support and skilled nursing, from a financial standpoint.
Anthony Comerford, Health Center Administrator
Anthony Comerford joined The Amsterdam at Harborside in February 2011 soon after the opening of the Tuttle Center. Prior to joining the The Amsterdam, he served as the administrator at Hilaire Nursing and Rehab in Huntington, NY. Anthony completed his administrative fellowship at The Long Island State Veterans Home and is a licensed nursing home administrator. He holds a BS from Dowling College and an MS from Stony Brook University.
Claudio M. Tarallo, Director of Resident Services
Claudio M. Tarallo joined The Amsterdam at Harborside in June 2010 as the Dining Services Director. He has held the position of Director of Resident Services since July 2012. He is an alumnus of The Culinary Institute of America and has worked in the hospitality industry with high-end restaurants and hotels. Also focused on the health care industry, Claudio has six years of experience at New York Presbyterian Hospital, New York Weill Cornell Center.
Derneeka N. Cruse, Human Resources Manager
Derneeka N. Cruse joined The Amsterdam at Harborside in December of 2012. She has been working in the human resources field for the past 10 years in various industries, including health care and education, and is also a life and career coach. She has her master's of business administration with a concentration in leadership and is currently obtaining her master's degree in psychology.
