Cynthia M. Otero, Director of Human Resources

Cynthia M. Otero joined The Amsterdam at Harborside in 2010 during the pre-opening phase. She has over ten years of management & payroll administration experience, including three years in health care. She holds a BS from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico and a PHR Certification from the Society for Human Resource Management.

Anna Mancini, Director of Finance   

Anna Mancini joined The Amsterdam at Harborside in 2010 just prior to the opening. She has a diverse background, having worked most recently as the financial and operations controller for a commodity trading company. At the Health & Welfare Funds Office of the NYCPBA, Anna was in fund administration and held the position of CFO. In her earlier career, Anna worked at Dreyfus as the accounting manager of approximately 14 mutual funds. She holds a BA in accounting from Queens College.

Anthony Comerford, Health Center Administrator

Anthony Comerford joined The Amsterdam at Harborside in February 2011 soon after the opening of the Tuttle Center. Prior to joining the The Amsterdam, he served as the administrator at Hilaire Nursing and Rehab in Huntington, NY. Anthony completed his administrative fellowship at The Long Island State Veterans Home and is a licensed nursing home administrator. He holds a BS from Dowling College and a MS from Stony Brook University.

Melissa Kampersal, Resident Services Director

Melissa Kampersal joined The Amsterdam at Harborside in January of 2011. She has worked in other continuing care retirement communities across the country and has been in the senior living industry for over 10 years. She holds a BA from The University of New Hampshire and is a licensed nursing home administrator.

Claudio M. Tarallo, Director of Dining Services

Claudio M. Tarallo joined The Amsterdam at Harborside in 2010 during the pre-opening phase. Claudio has an extensive culinary and management career that includes work with The Hotel Millennium, Saks Fifth Avenue and Cornell Medical Center. He also has experience with several companies focused on organics, local and sustainable agriculture – Le Pain Quotidien and Pret Á Manger. Claudio is a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America.
